How do I stop all deliveries, and resume them?
Stop every delivery of your company at once, after a mistake or while something is checked. An owner or administrator asks with a reason, it is approved, everyone concerned is told, and deliveries resume the same way.
Sometimes everything must stand still for a while: a wrong lot was registered, an account may be misused, or an authority asks you to hold all movements while it checks. Stop all deliveries does that for your whole company at once, and Resume deliveries ends it.
Who may stop deliveries
- The company's owner and administrators, with a fresh second factor: you enter your code again when you send it.
- A reason (Why) is required. Your members read it; other companies are only told that your deliveries are stopped and since when.
- Your organization decides who may, with Who may stop all deliveries in Defaults & policies: it can leave it to its companies, keep it for its own owners and administrators (Only the organization) or not allow it at all (Not allowed). A company can only be stricter than its organization, in Settings → Compliance.
- The stop waits for approval: the company's owner or an administrator, other than the one who asked, approves it with two-factor verification.
What stops and what goes on
While deliveries are stopped, for every holder of your lots:
- Stops: registering lots, delivering them, processing them and removing them from the records. Deliveries already approved wait too. The forms say so up front and do not send; anything sent anyway is refused with "All deliveries are stopped right now".
- Goes on: status changes, corrections, certificates, lot rules and moves by legal order.
Stop all deliveries
- Open Settings → Compliance.
- Choose Stop all deliveries.
- Say why. The form shows what stops, what goes on, the deliveries waiting (each one links to its approval) and how many members and other companies are told.
- Choose Send for approval. Once it is approved, every delivery stops at once.
A banner on every company page then says since when deliveries are stopped and why.
Who is told
- Every member of your company.
- Other companies with deliveries waiting with yours.
- A reminder goes out every 24 hours while the stop lasts.
Resume deliveries
Choose Resume in the banner, or Resume deliveries in Settings → Compliance, say why and choose Send for approval. The same approval applies. Once approved, deliveries go ahead again, approved deliveries that were waiting are sent, and everyone told of the stop is told it is over. Resuming stays possible even when your organization no longer allows stopping. Stops in Settings → Compliance keeps every stop, its reason and when it ended.
